The group chat problem

You already run a league. It just runs on a group chat.

Four people, four different totals
Photos of scorecards, someone's arithmetic, a number nobody can check a week later. The argument is never about golf.
The handicap that moves the week before
Everybody knows who it is. Nobody wants to be the one to say it, so the net prize quietly stops meaning anything.
It dies in week three
Week one is fun. By week three the organiser is doing all of it by hand, and the spreadsheet stops being updated.
How it works

Three steps. Then it runs itself.

01
Start it, or join with a code
A league for the season, or a one-day tournament for Saturday. Share the code; that is the whole of the admin.
02
Play when you play
Any day inside the window. Hole by hole with a partner keeping your card, or a total if that's the day you had.
03
The board settles itself
Handicaps applied per course and tee, the table updates when the window closes, and the result stays in the record.

Leagues & seasons

Run a season, not a spreadsheet.

Weekly events at the courses your group plays, a points table that updates itself, and rules everyone agreed to before the first tee.

  • Gross or net, with an index built from verified rounds
  • Tour-style points, drop-worst weeks, a season champion
  • Rules like marked cards or hole-by-hole entry
  • Commissioner tools: void a round, settle a question

One-day tournaments

A tournament in about a minute.

Name, course, date. Send the code. Friends who will never install a golf app still count — add them to a team as guests and the result settles itself.

  • Individual or teams, gross or net
  • Stroke play, scramble, best ball, Stableford
  • Guests on a side without an account
  • Results and trophies kept for good

Head-to-head matches

Challenge anyone, wherever you both play.

Match play or stroke play, same day or same week, together or apart. The app keeps the score and tells you when the lead changes.

  • “You're 1 up thru 12” — live, hole by hole
  • A running head-to-head record with every rival
  • Walk off five of your last ten and the next one's a loss
  • Challenge a friend from any course on the map

Fair play

Scores the whole table can trust.

A leaderboard is only worth something if nobody doubts it.
A marker keeps the card
Seasons can require another member to keep your score. You sign it; nothing counts until you do.
Outliers get a second look
A round far below your own history is held until somebody checks it, instead of quietly winning the week.
A photo of the signed card
Snap the paper card at the 18th green. It settles most questions before anyone asks them.
Every ruling leaves a trace
Any member can question an entry. Voids, questions and decisions are recorded with who made them and why.
And the rest of it

Built for the way groups actually play.

Live while it happens
An open event shows who is out there and where they stand, updating as cards come in.
The ghost race
Play a friend who played on Tuesday. Their score on the hole you're standing on, before you hit.
Fair handicaps
An index worked out from verified rounds and applied per course and tee. A 20 and a 6 can both win.
Where you can compete
A map of the courses with something open for you this week — and where your friends play.
A trophy case
Every badge with how it was won: the round, the week, the field you beat.
It works with no signal
Holes you enter on the back nine save on the phone and go up when the bars come back.
FAQ

Questions golfers ask first.

Is TourCard free?

Yes, while it's in beta.

Do I need an official handicap?

No. TourCard works out an index from the rounds you post here, so net events are fair from week one. It isn't an official USGA Handicap Index®.

Can friends without the app play in our tournament?

Yes. The organiser adds them to a team as guests, and their scores count in the result.

How do you stop sandbaggers and made-up scores?

A round far below a golfer's own history is held for a check, seasons can require another member to keep the card, and a photo of the signed card settles the rest. Any member can raise a question about an entry.

What happens if someone walks off a match?

The match is void and it goes on their record. Five walk-offs in their last ten matches and the next one counts as a loss.

iPhone, Android or the web?

It works in any phone's browser today, at tourcard.app. The iPhone app is in testing.

Your group already competes. Now it counts.

TourCard is in private beta while the first leagues play their seasons. Leave your address and we'll tell you when there's room.
