TourCard
Community Guidelines
Last updated: 23 October 2026
TourCard is a place to compete with the people you play golf with. It only works if the scores are real and the people are decent to each other. These guidelines say what that means in practice. They sit alongside our Terms of Use, which are the binding version.
1. Post the scores you shot
- Post your own rounds, at the course you played, on the day you played. Don’t post a round for somebody else unless you kept their card and they sign it.
- Don’t post rounds you didn’t play, change a score after the fact to win something, or run a second account.
- Play events and matches by the format your group agreed, and enter the round you played in them — not the best one you had that week.
- Rate and review courses you have actually played.
How the app checks. Every round is compared with your own history. One that stands out is held for a moderator to look at before it counts on a board, in your TourCard index, or towards a trophy — that is a check, not an accusation. League members can question a round in an event, by name, and the commissioner decides. A commissioner can void a round in their league, with a reason. A score, once posted, can only be corrected with a reason that the app records.
2. Be decent to each other
Nothing you post or send through TourCard may be:
- abusive, harassing, bullying, or a targeted attack on someone;
- hateful — including slurs, or attacks on anyone because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
- threatening, or encouraging violence;
- sexual, obscene, or otherwise unsuitable for a general audience;
- an impersonation of another golfer, a golf club, or of TourCard;
- somebody else’s private information, shared without their consent;
- spam, advertising or a scam;
- an offer to bet or take bets, or an advertisement for gambling;
- illegal, or someone else’s copyrighted material.
This covers everything a person can type: display names, home towns, league, season, event and team names, course reviews, report notes and questions about a round. The app refuses names and text containing prohibited language before they are posted.
3. Play the match you agreed to
Accept a challenge only if you mean to play it. Walking off a match — starting the round and withdrawing, or never posting — voids it, and your profile shows how often you have done that. Walking off repeatedly turns the void into a loss.
4. If something is wrong
Report it
Every course review and every golfer profile has a Report control. Pick a reason — harassment or bullying, hate speech or a slur, sexual or obscene content, violence or a threat, spam or advertising, impersonation or a fake profile, or something else — add a note if it helps, and send it. You can also email hello@tourcard.app. The person you report is not told who reported them.
Block someone
Every golfer profile has a Block control. Blocking someone removes them from your feed, leaderboards, search and the reviews you see, removes you from theirs, ends any friendship and withdraws any open invitation. You can unblock them at any time from You → Settings → Blocked golfers.
Question a score
In a league event, any member can question a round. The question is not anonymous: the golfer and the league see who asked. The commissioner upholds it (the round is voided) or dismisses it, and the decision is shown to everyone in the event.
5. What happens next
A person reviews every report within 24 hours. Depending on what we find we may take no action, hide the content, suspend the account, or remove it permanently. Severe or repeated breaches can lead to permanent removal the first time, and someone removed for abuse may not be allowed to sign up again. A suspended golfer can’t write reviews or change their display name until the suspension is lifted; their golf scores are not touched.
If your content was hidden or your account was suspended and you think we got it wrong, email hello@tourcard.app and a person will look at it again.
